Khan Academy   An educational website created to provide "a free world-class education for anyone anywhere".  Great for students, parents, teachers, coaches.  The website features thousands of educational resources, including a personalized learning dashboard, over 100,000 exercise problems and 5000 micro lectures via video tutorials, teaching mathematics, history, helathcare, medicine, finance, physics, general chemistry, biology, astronomy, economics, cosmology, organic chemistry, American civics, art history, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and computer science.

Internet Public Library for Kids   Organized by subject, this directory links to a vast number of sites appropriate for children with a parents' section that includes worksheets.

Family Education  Lots of ideas for activities, games, crafts and more to share with children from infants to teens. Holiday activities, printable activity sheets, reviews of commercial activities like movies, and educational and fun games and other activities for the whole family.

Google Scholar  Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature.  From one place, you can search across many disiplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites.  Google Sholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.

CastleGarden.org  Free access to a huge database of information on 10 million immigrants from 1830 to 1892, the year Ellis Island opened.

Ellis Island Land Records  Seachable database containing arrival records of 22 million immigrans who entered through the port of New York from 1892-1924.

Military Personnel Records  The National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records, is the repository of milliams of milityar personnel, health and medical records of discharged and deceased veterans of all services during the 20th century.
